The highest man made lake in France, just 10 minutes from the house. Here you can relax on one of the many beaches or visit the small island where there is a coffee shop and a huge art gallery that extends into the forest. You can also rent a boat and go out onto the lake and try your luck with a fishing rod!
Just 2 minutes walk from the house and has everything that you need. There is a wonderful Cafe Tabac in the centre serving coffee and something stronger if you fancy! A couple of restaurants that serve excellent food for all the family, including a wonderful Pizza restaurant! The town has a 17th century tower that houses the Museum of the Resistance, this is a must if you are interested in the history of WW2 and the part that the Resistance played during that time
The next nearest town, it is a fantastic place to wander through the medieval streets or stop for a drink in one of the many cafe tabacs. It has a supermarket for all your needs and if you are feeling hungry you will find plenty of places to eat and drink, my favourite is the Cafe Des Sports, you can even order a pizza here too!
